As of April 14, 2026, you can post video from Postful to Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Threads.

What’s supported

Video is live on all four networks:

  • Instagram: video posts become Reels
  • LinkedIn: video can be posted to your personal account and a managed page
  • X & Threads: video, alongside text, image, and carousel posts, can start a threads

Why video took a while

Video isn’t just a bigger file. Every network has its own rules: minimum dimensions, maximum duration, encoding requirements, aspect ratio constraints. Getting it right on one platform is a real project. Getting it right on four, without making you think about any of it, took longer than we wanted.

We didn’t want to ship something that worked half the time. So we waited.

One thing to know about carousels

Carousels are images only. If you want to post video, use a video post, not a carousel. All four networks work this way.
